Prince Buaben yesterday signed for Hearts on a one-year contract, becoming the sixth new player to arrive at the club this summer.

The midfielder had been on trial following his release from Carlisle United at the end of last season.

Having played for Dundee United and Partick Thistle in Scotland's top division, the 26-year-old's experience was considered invaluable by the Hearts coaching team. "He's played in the SPL for a long time and he's played in England at a very high level so I'm pleased to get him," said Robbie Neilson, the head coach who is also hoping to sign erstwhile Crystal Palace forward Osman Sow. "We've got some good options now in the middle of the field."
