Jamaican Kemar Bailey-Cole has won the Commonwealth Games men's 100 metres final  at Hampden Park.

He finished the race ahead of English sprinter Adam Gemili in second and third-placed fellow countryman Nickel Ashmeade in 10 seconds flat.

Earlier, sprinter Blessing Okagbare took gold in the women's 100 metres final with a new Games record time.

The Nigerian saw off competition from Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart, who finished second and third respectively, with an emphatic time of 10.85 seconds.
