Danny Seaborne has revealed how former manager Steven Pressley helped to convince him to move to Partick Thistle.

The defender, 27, has signed a two-year deal with the Firhill club following his departure from Coventry.

The centre-half, who made 16 appearances under Pressley last season, said: "Steven Pressley definitely had good things to say. He was quite influential in my decision to come here. I've done a lot of research and spoken to a lot of lads who I've played with, who are Scottish and have played here.It makes the decision a lot easier if people are saying good things."

The former Southampton defender suffered head injuries in an attack outside a Southampton nightclub in September 2011 and did not play for the remainder of that season. But he insists his injury problems are firmly behind him and hopes to feature in Thistle's Premiership opener against Ross County at Firhill tomorrow .
