Discus prospect Nick Percy is to move to the University of Nebraska following this weekend's Scottish Athletics Championships in Kilmarnock.
The European junior silver medallist received 38 scholarship offers from the USA after deciding the trans-Atlantic switch would help his bid to challenge for an Olympic medal. "When I did my university visits that I saw what was available in America and how it was all fixed to be able to train while getting a quality education," said the 19-year-old. "The resources they have at their disposal are amazing."
