David Gray, the Hibernian full-back, is confident that his side will register an emphatic victory this season, just as soon as they fine-tune their attacking play.

The Edinburgh side travel to face Alloa Athletic today having found it difficult to translate their dominance in possession into high-scoring displays. Hibs recorded 18 shots against Falkirk last weekend - with only three on target - and had another 22 attempts at goal against Dumbarton on Tuesday night in the League Cup.

Gray, who captained Hibs in that match, believes that those statistics should make grim reading for Hibs' league opponents. "I think it's coming," said Gray, pictured left. "We've had 40 shots in the last two games. If we keep going the way we're going then hopefully we can give somebody a bit of a doing.

"We just need to take the chances. That first goal in the game is going to be very important and hopefully that can settle us down a little bit and give us more confidence to go on and score."
