Around 45,000 fans are expected to attend an opening training session today as Germany prepare for their first competitive match since winning the World Cup.

This will come on Sunday against Scotland.

Joachim Loew's squad - which is without World Cup winners Per Mertesacker, Miroslav Klose and Phillip Lahm - will hold an open session today at Fortuna Dusseldorf's Espirit Arena. With entry free, a near-capacity crowd is expected to turn out.

Mario Gomez, Antonio Rudiger and Marco Reus are the three players who did not feature in Brazil but who have been called up to take on Argentina in a friendly and Scotland in the opening Euro 2016 qualifier. "The players and staff wanted to give something back to the supporters," said Oliver Bierhoff, Germany's team manager.
