FABIO BORINI has defended himself against accusations he has wildly unrealistic expectations after knocking back two moves during the transfer window.
He rejected Sunderland, where he was on loan last season, earlier in the summer before turning down Queens Park Rangers on Monday. QPR said they could not match his wage demands, said to be £90,000-a-week.
Borini defended himself: "Finally, the madness is finished! I protected the MAN and the player that I am today, taking all the responsibility of the situation and for people who didn't want it.
"And I'm VERY happy with myself to have taken such an important decision!"
