Jimmy Nicholl, the Cowdenbeath manager, is confident that on-loan Rangers forward Calum Gallagher can ignite the Fife club's campaign.

The teenager has joined the struggling SPFL Championship club initially until January.

Cowdenbeath have still to win a league match this term but Nicholl is certain that Gallagher has what it takes to turn their form around. "It was Calum's attitude that I really liked after speaking to him," said the Northern Irishman. "I know he can do a job for us because his attitude is spot on."
