ST JOHNSTONE defender Brad McKay could face disciplinary action after Scottish FA compliance officer Tony McGlennan decided to look into the player's 'typical foreigner' remarks.
Speaking in the aftermath of Sunday's absorbing 4-3 defeat to former club Hearts, McKay was referring to striker Juanma when he claimed that the Spaniard went down too easy throughout their Premiership opener.
It was McKay's slip after four minutes that allowed Delgado to give Robbie Neilson's side the lead at Tynecastle.
The marksman also played his part in the build up to the penalty that saw Jamie Walker score after Osman Sow's effort from 12-yards was saved by Alan Mannus.
Speaking after the game, McKay, who moved to the Perth outfit from Hearts earlier this summer, said: "He's a typical foreigner – he gets touched and he goes down."
Compliance officer McGlennan is aware of what McKay is credited with saying and could still take action, as such a case falls outside the parameters of the fast-track process.
McGlennan would write to McKay in the first instance before deciding whether to issue any Notice of Complaint.
