St Johnstone substitute Graham Cummins salvaged his side a point against Inverness as his last-gasp header ensured a 1-1 draw in Perth.
Ryan Christie's early strike at McDiarmid Park looked to have been good enough to give Caley Thistle their first win of the Ladbrokes Premiership campaign.
But Saints' desperate efforts were rewarded when Irishman Cummins added to his goal in last week's 4-3 defeat to Hearts when he nodded home the equaliser just seconds from the end.
The Fair City faithful were given a boost before kick-off as they learned Murray Davidson had fought his way back into Tommy Wright's starting line-up just four weeks after he had initially been ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
The midfielder's remarkable recovery allowed him to replace Chris Millar - injured in last week's opener in Edinburgh - while Frazer Wright came in for ex-Jambo Brad McKay, who endured a nightmare return to Tynecastle.
Inverness boss John Hughes, meanwhile, could only name five substitutes with his squad ravaged by injuries. Centre-back Gary Warren broke his leg in last week's loss to Motherwell while defensive partner Josh Meekings suffered a groin pull.
With Nat Wedderburn benched, Liam Polworth, Lewis Horner and Dani Lopez got their chance to start.
And it was Spanish frontman Lopez who paved the way for Inverness' opener nine minutes in. His burrowing run almost took him into a shooting position but when he lost control, Christie was there to aim a perfect strike past Alan Mannus.
Michael O'Halloran tried to draw the hosts level but was denied by keeper Owain Fon Williams.
For all the graft on show, moments of quality were a rare occurrence and the only other chance of note came a minute before half-time when Andrea Mutombo twisted his way to the by-line but flashed an aimless ball across goal when Christie was screaming for a cut-back.
Inverness had looked happy to sit in and counter during the first period but showed more intent after the break. Danny Devine came close with a volley which was cleared off the line by Liam Craig while Christie swept a 20-yard effort over the bar.
O'Halloran was again Saints' most dangerous outlet but Fon Williams did well to palm away his fizzed cross after the forward slalomed into the box.
The tempo of the action had ratcheted up and Christie again showed his class as he scampered into the Saints box, but Mannus saved with a strong wrist.
O'Halloran's runs in from the right were proving hard to deal with but time and again he failed to produce a killer final pass.
Full-back Joe Shaughnessy, though, was able to conjure a menacing delivery from deep on the right as the clock ticked towards 90 and his cross was expertly redirected past Fon Williams by Cummins' header as the former Exeter frontman salvaged his side a point.
Fon Williams' stoppage-time fumble had Saints believing they could grab the win but Stevie MacLean could not force the ball home.
