MOLDE head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has pleaded with the Celtic board to stick with Ronny Deila and insists the Ladbrokes Premiership champions have suffered in Europe because there is no longer an Old Firm derby in Scotland.

"He has been under pressure his whole career at Celtic as that is the nature of this job," he said. "If I was them, I would stick with Ronny because I know Ronny and I know his ideas of playing football. He is a very good coach.

"It is hard when you win the league by just turning up every year. It is hard to keep the quality up all the time. Of course, they are not used to playing against Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal any more.

"That is just natural that they struggle to get up to the heights of when you had the Old Firm derbies because at least you had some top, top games.

"This is history for us and it is absolutely fantastic for the boys, the club and everyone involved."
