Patrick Roberts is expected to confirm his loan move to Celtic on transfer deadline day.

The Hoops and Manchester City agreed an 18-month deal for the 18-year-old midfielder who moved to City from Fulham last summer for a fee reported to be between £11million and £12million.

Roberts was in Glasgow over the weekend for a medical and was at Hampden Park on Sunday to see Celtic surprisingly lose their League Cup semi-final to Ross County.

Hoops boss Ronny Deila has also been linked with a move for Feyenoord forward Colin Kazim-Richards.

Motherwell will be looking to make at least one signing with a midfielder a priority following departures of Liam Grimshaw, Jake Taylor, Dan Twardzik, Theo Robinson and David Clarkson with James McFadden's deal also expired.

Aberdeen have room to bring players in after Josh Parker, Ryan McLaughlin and Paul Quinn left, the latter scoring for his new side County at Hampden on his second debut for the club.

Hamilton could add to their squad after Christian Nade signed for Dumbarton and Jamie Sendles-White left on Friday.

St Johnstone are looking to sign a left winger and remain optimistic over keeping Michael O'Halloran.

Championship leaders Rangers, who completed a loan deal for Hearts attacker Billy King on Thursday, have reportedly made a couple of bids for the Saints forward.

Hearts are reportedly hoping to complete the signing of former Scotland midfielder Don Cowie, who has been released by Wigan.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock are somewhat in limbo after manager Gary Locke resigned following the 1-0 home defeat to Hamilton at Rugby Park on Saturday, although the Ayrshire club had been given permission to speak to Carlisle United midfielder Gary Dicker.
