RANGERS

Wes Foderingham: Couple of decent saves in the opening half; one from Jason Cummings from close range and a decent save from Anthony Stokes when he tipped the ball around his post but no chance with any of the goals 6

James Tavernier: Slipped in the build-up to opening goal and it set the tone for an afternoon in which he chased Stokes’s shadow. Never got a handle on the Irishman throughout the game but provided the cross which led to Miller’s leveller. Booked for crunching tackle on McGinn 5

Rob Kiernan: Spooked by the Stokes/Cummings combo. Looked terrified any time the ball came near him in the opening half and allowed Stokes in particular to cut inside repeatedly. Fragile throughout 5

Danny Wilson: More composed that Kiernan but still looked unsteady in the early exchanges with Cummings and Stokes. Settled more as the game went on but looked nervous in opening exchanges 6

Lee Wallace: Forward movements restricted with Hibs playing a 3-5-2 formation and not a great defensive display from the full-back. Has had better days at the office 6

Martyn Waghorn: Relatively quiet. Had one 40-yard effort that amounted to nothing but incensed the Hibs players when he went to ground in the box too easily 6

Andy Halliday: On raking drive from distance which went just wide of the target but burst the net in the second period with a cracking goal which gave Rangers the lead for the first time in the game. Culpable with Tavernier for Stokes’ second of the day 6

Gedion Zelalem: Struggled to impose himself in any meaningful manner. Conceded possession readily and no great surprise when he was the first player of the afternoon to make way for a change 6

Barrie McKay: Good deliveries – one of which was met by Miller who banged a header off the woodwork. Struggled in the early stages as Rangers found themselves up against it, but gradually imposed himself onto proceedings 6

Jason Holt: Game passed him by. No meaningful contribution to the 90 minutes and struggled to cope at times with a vibrant Hibs midfield 5

Kenny Miller: Goal from nothing as Rangers toiled. Outjumped McGregor for the leveller and then smacked the woodwork as Rangers found their feet. Rangers’ only solid player on the pitch. Pulled them into a game that had threatened to drift away from them but counted for little 7

Dean Shiels: Took over from Zelalem just after the hour mark but no real impact 5

Nicky Clark: On for the last 15 minutes as he took the place of Waghorn and ultimately played a huge part in Hibs’ winning goal when he conceded a throw-in on the halfway line 4

HIBS

Conrad Logan: The roly poly goalie had little chance with either goal but was rarely called upon as Rangers toiled to create much at that end of the pitch 6

Paul Hanlon: On the right-hand side of the back three and when Rangers got themselves into the game he struggled to keep a lid on the movement of Miller 6

Liam Fontaine: One powerful header goalwards that caused a few flutters in the Gers defence but which came to nothing. Was hooked after Rangers’ second of the afternoon as Alan Stubbs switched his formation and looked for a way back into the game 7

Darren McGregor: Outjumped by Miller from the levelling goal but recovered to put in a decent shift. Like many of the Hibs players on display, he worked his socks off 7

David Gray: Put in a power of running on the flank and left the field a hero. Scored the last gasp goal that gave the Hibees the Cup. Immortalised on Leith after a moment of glory that won the game in the final stages 7

Dylan McGeouch: Alan Stubbs gambled on the midfielder’s fitness but to be fair it was a choice which worked for the Hibs boss as his side controlled the middle of the park for much of the game 7

Fraser Fyvie: Booked for a tackle on Zelalem but was industrious throughout. Linked well with McGinn and got the ball forward to Stokes, who was a persistent menace to the Hibs defence 7

John McGinn: Impressive tenacity in the build-up to the opening goal. Constantly keen to drive at Rangers and had one curling effort just over the bar in first-half. One second-half moment when he brilliantly dispossessed Andy Halliday summed up his afternoon 8

Lewis Stevenson: Took a cracker of a knock in the closing stages of regulation time but a disciplined and energetic display on an afternoon in which Hibs made history. 7

Jason Cummings: Took the movement from McGinn to feed Stokes for the opener. Should have done better minutes later when Rob Kiernan stood off him as he made his way through the penalty box but his directness was always a threat to Rangers 7

Anthony Stokes: Rampant display from the forward. Ran Tavernier into the ground. Carved Rangers open on the right flank time after time and was a persistent threat. Guilty of missing a couple of cracking chances in the opening period but two good goals – the first of which after just 2 minutes and 52 seconds 9

James Keatings: Replaced Cummings immediately after Rangers had taken a 2-1 lead but no real chances to impose himself 6

Liam Henderson: On for Liam Fontaine and make a real impact. It was the on-loan Celtic midfieler’s corners which led to Hibs’ equaliser and subsequent winner 7

Niklas Gunnarsson: Last substitution from the Leith team as Stubbs tried to win the game 5
