ST MIRREN have announced that goalkeeper Scott Gallacher has joined the club on a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old made 15 appearances in the Championship last season for Alloa Athletic, but has left after his contract with the Wasps expired.
Gallacher came through the Rangers youth system and made six senior appearances for the Gers, as well as having spells at Cowdenbeath, Forfar Athletic, Airdrieonians and Hearts.

The former Scotland Under-21 international said at his presentation that he's looking forward to fighting for the number one spot with Jamie Langfield.
“Alex phoned me, spoke well and everything he said about the club was positive so it was a no brainer for me," he said.
"I spoke with Jamie[Langfield] today and the manager said he’s going to throw a jersey up on a Saturday and see who’s going to get it. You can’t ask for a fairer shot than that and we’ll need to work hard to earn it – that’s the main thing.
“They seem a good bunch of lads but they usually are at football teams – hopefully I can help everybody out.
“It’s a good competitive league and everyone will want to try and win games. It’s up there with the Premiership, outwith maybe Rangers or Celtic, but apart from that it’s a very good competitive league.”
Buddies manager Alex Rae was happy to welcome Gallacher to the club only two days after defender Gary MacKenzie was signed, as he continues to build his squad ahead of the new Championship campaign.
"We contacted Scott about joining us and I met him a week ago," said Rae.
"One of the things I want throughout the club is competition and I think big Gal will provide that.
"He’s been at some big clubs in Rangers and Hearts and he’d just completed a season at Alloa, which will give him experience that will allow him an opportunity to stake a claim for the number one jersey.
“I’ve said to everyone today in the team meeting that I want competition. I think it’s healthy and by the same token I want one unit, I want them all together and I want to have them all fighting for each other.
“We want to try and get people in the door so that they can familiarise themselves with the pre-season training that we’re doing and, by doing that, we can get down to some serious work over the next seven to ten days.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
