CELTIC'S Michael Duffy, currently on loan at Dundee, has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the first time.

On Wednesday Michael O'Neill announced a team featuring five Scottish Premiership players for next Sunday's World Cup qualifier away to the Czech Republic.

Duffy has scored once in six matches since joining the Dens Park outfit on loan earlier this summer, having impressed at Alloa Athletic the season before.

The 22-year-old had been capped by his country at Under-19 and Under-21 level and now has the chance to earn his first senior cap.

Ross County striker Liam Boyce, scorer of five goals in his last two games, has been re-called after missing out on Euro 2016 in June.

He takes the place of Will Grigg, who has been left out for personal reasons, understood to be that his partner is due to give birth.

Rangers defender Lee Hodson, St Johnstone goalkeper Alan Mannus and Aberdeen's Niall McGinn have also been selected.
