Celtic winger James Forrest is a major doubt for the Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Partick Thistle on Friday night.

The Scotland international went off with a tight hamstring during the Champions League draw with Manchester City on Tuesday.

Scott Sinclair (hamstring) and Kieran Tierney (ankle) remain sidelined.

Rangers defender Clint Hill is suspended for Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Hearts following his sending off last week against Aberdeen.

Midfielder Josh Windass is still struggling with a hamstring injury ahead of the Ibrox encounter but could return to training early next week.

Boss Mark Warburton also hopes to have Jordan Rossiter (calf) back within the next 10 days although fellow midfielder Niko Kranjcar (knee) is out for the season.

The midfielder remains on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

Cathro will take charge of the Jambos for the first time after being confirmed as Robbie Neilson's successor on Monday night.

Dundee defender Kevin Gomis is back in Paul Hartley's squad for Saturday's Dens Park clash with Ross County.

The former Nice centre-back missed last week's defeat at Kilmarnock after flying back to France when his wife went into labour.

Nicky Low (ankle) played in Wednesday night's Under-20s clash with Rangers so could feature against the Staggies but Mark O'Hara is a week away from fitness following hernia surgery. Skipper James McPake was also given 45 minutes against Gers' youngsters but will not be rushed on his return from a dislocated knee.

Ross County boss Jim McIntyre is sweating on the fitness of Paul Quinn and Martin Woods ahead of Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership trip to Dundee.

Defender Quinn has been out since the end of October with a hamstring problem and while he has stepped up his recovery, McIntyre is not certain if he will be ready for the Dens Park clash.

Midfielder Woods (back) made his return after a month out against Hearts last week but is rated as a doubt for this weekend's action. Winger Chris Burke is definitely sidelined with a virus.

The Dons skipper was sent off in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Rangers and missed the midweek win over Kilmarnock.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has reported no injury problems.

Midfielder Chris Millar (hamstring) is back in training while Keith Watson (groin) played another game for the under-20s in midweek.

With David Raven (knee) out for around six weeks and Gary Warren suspended, McKay will play at centre-back while Lewis Horner returns from suspension at right-back.

Liam Polworth (ankle) is seven to 10 days away from a comeback while forwards Scott Boden and Alex Fisher also face another week out with knocks. Kevin McNaughton (Achilles) is a long-term absentee.

Kris Boyd (thigh), Dapo Kayode and Greg Kiltie (both hamstring) and Jonathan Burn (thigh) remain out.
