MARCUS HABER insists his move to Dundee has made him fall in love with the game all over again and he says he is living for moments like his dramatic winner against Hearts.
The Canadian international was the hero as Paul Hartley's men sealed a memorable comeback in Friday night's 3-2 win over Ian Cathro's shell-shocked side.
Haber, who joined the Dens Park outfit back in October, is loving his time back in Scotland having already netted three goals and is savouring the feeling of being back in top form.
The 27-year-old had a previous stint north of the border with St Johnstone before heading south for spells with Stevenage, Notts County and Crewe Alexandra, and is now enjoying a revival in fortunes on Tayside.
Haber said: “I feel as though I've got a new lease of life. I'm enjoying my football and happy to be getting a run of games. The team is now playing to my strengths – that's a big thing. The boys know where my strengths lie.
“If they can get balls into the danger area within the six-yard box or the penalty spot, then we've got a good chance. That's what I live for, quality delivery. Long may it continue. It's about getting that familiarity in training as well on a normal basis. I've been here for about two months now and it's coming together. We just want to keep it growing.”
Haber rose unchallenged to power home a header past helpless Hearts keeper Jack Hamilton from team-mate Tom Hateley's inch-perfect set-piece, and the big forward knows quality delivery is key for him to thrive inside the box.
He added: “I'm delighted for sure with the header. I was just looking to get a half-yard of space. It was an excellent ball from Tom and I was thrilled to see it go in. Tom puts these balls in with pace and usually gets it over the first man which is the main thing.
“He's good at what he does. He's right up there with who I've played with in terms of delivery from a dead-ball. To be fair, he's a real weapon for us."
