HEARTS have posted an image of work getting underway to replace the Tynecastle pitch after the surface cut up badly in recent games.

Jambos owner Ann Budge confirmed on Monday that the turf would be replacecd in time for the club's next home game on March 1 against Ross County.

Although the capital club had hoped the pitch would last until the end of the season, its poor state in recent matches against Hibernian and Inverness was enough to convince Budge to take immediate action.

Ian Cathro's side picked up draws in their last two home games and will take on rivals Hibs at Easter Road in a Scottish Cup fifth round replay on Wednesday.
