MOTHERWELL manager Mark McGhee has been charged by the Scottish FA for misconduct during his side's 7-2 Ladbrokes Premiership defeat to Aberdeen.

The Scotland assistant was sent to the stands at Pittodrie on Wednesday following an outburst towards the fourth official.

The SFA issued a notice of complaint against McGhee on Tuesday, alleging that he breached Disciplinary Rule 203 buy using offensive language and adopting aggressive behaviour towards a match official.

A hearing date has been set for Thursday 16 March, while McGhee has until Tuesday 28 February to respond to the complaint.
