CELTIC striker Nadir Ciftci has been ordered to shape up quickly after his loan move in Poland has turned sour.

The 25-year-old Turk was shipped out in January to Pogon Szczecin.

But he’s yet to score a goal or grab an assist in six matches and the club have not managed to win a game when Ciftci has featured.

Szczecin boss Kazimierz Moskal has rapped the Hoops reject for his fitness, although he admits he is a talented player.

He said: “Nadir’s problems are because he hasn’t played football properly for a long time and lacks match fitness.

“But the more he plays, it should work out.

“It would have been helpful if he arrived here fully fit but we knew it would take time with him.

“Expectations were too high when he arrived.

“He wants to play and help the team, but for now we have to rebuild his fitness and confidence.

“I believe that Nadir has the skills and will show them in the end, although I accept it hasn’t looked good so far.”
