TOM ROGIC paid tribute to Brendan Rodgers last night after an injury time winner against Aberdeen on Saturday to clinch Celtic's invincible treble which was a shot heard all over the world. The 24-year-old, known by Brendan Rodgers as his 'magic man' and christened the Wizard of Oz, lived up to that billing by sweeping in the goal which booked this team's place in the history books and the late goal was even later if you reside in Australia.

"He [Rodgers] is not often wrong!" joked Rogic. "He has been amazing for the club. He deserves massive credit for what he has brought in his first season and for us to achieve what we have done.

"Everyone was watching back home on television, the kick off was at midnight over there," said the Aussie. "My phone’s going crazy. It’s without doubt the most important goal I’ve ever scored. I’ve been lucky enough to score a couple of late winners but nothing compares to that and when it’s in the last couple of minutes it makes it a little bit even more special.

The 24-year-old's momentum took him to triumphant Celtic fans at the same corner where Hibs celebrated David Gray's late winner 12 months previously, but he said he was so lost in the moment that he had actually lost his bearings. "You don’t really realise what you’ve done at the time so you don’t really know where to run or what’s happening," he said. "But it’s a special moment and something to look back on forever."
