In pictures: Baton relay day 39, Glasgow South

The Queen's Baton continues its journey through Glasgow today ahead of Wednesday's opening ceremony.

The Baton Relay is now in its 287th day and has been carried by tens of thousands of bearers across 70 nations and territories of the Commonwealth.

On the day before the games officially start the baton will travel through Linn, Langside and Southside. Later it will be carried through Anderston, Pollokshields, Govan and Greater Pollok before reaching Newlands.
