Yet, according to Tony Judd, performance analyst and assistant coach to fellow Australian Pete Steindl, whether or not Gordon Drummond's men go out on a high at Bothwell Castle Policies, the future is bright.
"We are the first to admit that our performances against the counties this season have not been what we wanted," Judd said. "But there are reasons for that, not least of which is that we came home from an international competition in Dubai with our entire seam bowling attack wiped out through injury. We were then confronted with the most disjointed cricket season known to man.
