Scotland Regional Series: Seamer strikes

Rookie seamer Scott McElnea was the hero on his home turf yesterday as Western Warriors crushed Eastern Knights to lift the Cricket Scotland Regional Series crown.

The Ayr youngster snapped up three quick wickets as the visitors were dismissed for 126 at Cambusdoon.

Majid Haq (46 not out) and Calum MacLeod (36) had been Western's stand-out batsmen in the tricky conditions as they reached 201 for eight.
