Taylor tuning up after accepting late call to take to the Test stage

James Taylor is desperate to seize his opportunity after being called into England's squad for the second Investec Test against South Africa.

The Nottinghamshire batsman was called up for the match at Headingley after Ravi Bopara withdrew for personal reasons.

That is the only change to the 13-man squad from the innings defeat in last week's first Test at the Oval. Bopara struggled in that game – with scores of nought and 22 and two sloppy dismissals – and the diminutive Taylor is desperate for his chance.
