Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn claims Mark Warburton's new-look Ibrox line-up are desperate to make up for their predecessors' sins.
The Light Blues have started the campaign under new boss Warburton with 10 straight wins.
The Ibrox faithful have been enthralled by their team's verve and enthusiasm since Warburton arrived from Brentford in the summer, bringing 11 new players with him.
The same could not be said last term, when former managers Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall and then Stuart McCall all contrived to make a mess of Gers' promotion bid.
Former Wigan frontman Waghorn is one of Warburton's new arrivals and even though he was not around last season when Rangers were humiliated by a 6-1 aggregate play-off final defeat to Motherwell, he knows the current team must make sure history is not repeated.
The 25-year-old, who struck the second goal in Saturday's 3-0 win over Livingston, said: "The unity amongst the boys is down to the gaffer and the type of players he has brought in, as well as the guys who were already here.
"There is a lot of experience mixed in with the younger lads and we are all hungry. After the disappointment of the last few years, it's been drilled in to us that we need to do better.
"We're all desperate to get back to the Premiership and kick on from there.
"So I think everyone has got the same ambition and the same drive and we're all focused on getting that as soon as possible."
Waghorn pounced four minutes before the break as he slotted home to put Gers comfortably ahead against Livi.
He now has nine goals in Light Blue but Saturday's effort was his first in the Ladbrokes Championship from open play after previously netting five league penalties.
But he is happy with his scoring efforts, saying: "I'm over the moon with my start.
"I've not played a lot of football over the last year and a half, so to score goals at a club like this is really pleasing. I want to work hard and the goals are a bonus.
"I've scored five penalties so it's nice to score in open play and score in the league too.
"I've not set a target as such, but there is a certain number I'd like to reach and I'm nearly halfway there."
