Aberdeen, second in the top flight, will play third placed Hearts in a repeat of the 1986 final while in-form St Johnstone, the 2014 winners, will host Kilmarnock.
Celtic will make the trek to the south west to face Stranraer with Old Firm rivals Rangers facing either Cowdenbeath or Arbroath at Ibrox.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle begin the defence of the cup they won last season with an away trip to either Stirling Albion or Cumbernauld Colts.
