HENRIK LARSSON has astonishingly been blamed by his own club's security staff for the sickening scenes as his Helsignborgs side were relegated.

The Parkhead legend and son Jordan were at the centre of disgraceful scenes as the club he manages and played for went down for the first time in 23 years.

Fans attacked Jordan and attempted to get at Larsson too.

However, Larsson and his son were criticised by the club's own security staff for confronting the fans.

Helsingborgs events manager, Frederik Ericsson, stated: "It's not the best behaviour from our staff, as players and leaders.

"It didn't help us. The players and coaches should have left before it escalated.

"With hindsight, they would not have been there.

"There was so much emotion in the air - they should have kept their distance and gone to the dressing room."

And it's been revealed Helsingborgs knew there were plans to get at the 45-year-old if they had lost before the play-off second leg.

A closed Facebook page was set up with details of what would happen if Helsingborgs have lost.

Helsingborgs director Mats-Ola Schulze said: "There is always a certain flow of information in different directions that we look at and judge the safety risk.

"We do not comment directly on security either before or after the game.

"We will collect information from various sources about everything in this situation that occurred and then make an analysis of the incident.

"We always take threats seriously."
