STUART Armstrong spoke last night of his confidence that negotiations over a new contract at the club will take care of themselves and said he was already anticipating a return to the Champions League next season with Celtic.
The future of the 25-year-old midfielder, who was yesterday named the Ladbrokes Premiership player of the month for March, has been a source of much speculation, with the player set to enter the final year of his current deal next summer and as yet no resolution on discussions over an extension.
"We are looking at it," said Armstrong. "I am really happy here and playing some of the best football of my life. I’m in a really good place. I’m sure it will take care of itself.

"Playing in the Champions League this season was a dream come true, playing against the giants of Europe," the Scotland midfielder added. "And the prospect of playing in that again is amazing. It’s something every player looks forward to because it is very special.
"I think what the manager is building here is a real, good quality team. You have seen the step up we have made already in only his first season. I think that can only get better. We’ll be pushing to get Champions League again but this time I think we’ll be looking to get further."
