Peterhead and Livingston looked in different leagues on Saturday but Blue Toon manager Jim McInally now has to try and ensure there are not two divisions between the teams next season.

Livingston's 4-1 win pushed Peterhead to the bottom and left 41 points between the clubs and McInally was not for hanging around to watch the title celebrations.

Striker Nicky Riley knows even a victory over Alloa on Saturday may not be enough to prevent a drop into League Two.

"The other results have not gone for us," he conceded, "It is not about the other teams, it

is about us - we have one game. Until Saturday, all we can do is concentrate on Alloa and getting three points.

"We know we have been in a relegation fight for a while so it is nothing new.

"We have been approaching each game thinking we can win. We know what this league is like, every team can beat everyone.

"It is not as if we are coming into games with no confidence, we are not playing well.

"You need to be playing well in these games to win. We'll go into the Alloa game confident and knowing we need to win. That's what we'll have to do.

"Hopefully we'll start off the game better than we did here and hopefully get the three points."

Oli Shaw gave Stenhousemuir a lifeline with a double in the 2-0 win at Queen's Park, which virtually ruled the Glasgow team out of the play-offs.

A hat-trick from Andy Ryan helped Airdrieonians to a 4-0 win at East Fife and pushed his team up to third.

East Fife midfielder Nicki Paterson admitted: "We need Airdrie or Brechin to lose on Saturday and we have to win. It's as simple as that.

"If you had offered us that at the start of the season we would probably have taken that. The way we have played all season we deserve a play-off spot and if we don't achieve that then we'll be bitterly disappointed."

Kevin Cawley scored a last-minute winner as Alloa beat Stranraer 1-0 at home but the visitors are assured their place in League One next season.

Brechin City defeated Albion Rovers 1-0 with Paul McLean scoring the only goal and they need just a point against Stenhousemuir on Satruday to secure a play-off place.
