Alison McConnell

KEY MAN FOR CELTIC: Moussa Dembele. When the Frenchman turns it on and is in the mood, he can be unplayable. He was excellent in the recent game against Rangers and tends to rise to the big occasion.

KEY MAN FOR MOTHERWELL: Curtis Main. The Motherwell striker has filled the void left by Louis Moult and has the presence and physicality to be a handful for the Celtic defence.

KEY TO SUCCESS: Celtic have been far more lacklustre in performance this term than they were a year ago as this season's final league points tally underlines. However, what you would have to say about Brendan Rodgers' side is that they tend to be able to win games when the heat is on. If there are questions asked they seem capable of going through the gears and upping their game.

If Celtic click and hit their groove there are few domestic teams who can live with them. Motherwell have frustrated Celtic already this season and will also look to take lessons from the high pressing tactics that stood the likes of Kilmarnock and Hearts in good stead took earlier in the campaign. The opening 20 minutes will be an interesting barometer of how the game as a whole will develop.

PREDICTION: Celtic 2 Motherwell 1

Matthew Lindsay

KEY MAN FOR CELTIC: Scott Brown. The Celtic captain and midfielder is the heartbeat of Brendan Rodgers’s team. If he performs at his best then the Parkhead club should win.

KEY MAN FOR MOTHERWELL: Curtis Main. Motherwell acquitted themselves well in the Betfred Cup final against Celtic back in November. But they didn’t take the limited chances they created. If Curtis can be more clinical, and he certainly was in the semi-final win over Aberdeen, the Fir Park club have a shout.
KEY TO SUCCESS: Celtic can’t afford to be unsettled by their opponent’s robust approach to the game. At the same time, they must give as good as they get. With Scott Brown, Dedryck Boyata and Moussa Dembele, to name just three, in the team that shouldn’t be a problem. Brendan Rodgers’s side has struggled against Stephen Robinson’s team. But with the double treble at stake and the majority of the support in the stadium behind them it is very hard to see them failing to deliver.

Motherwell have to do what they do every week in Scottish football at Hampden – get in their rivals’ faces, stop them from playing and take their chances when they come in order to win. Converting their scoring opportunities in the final third will be vital to  them. If they can keep their feted adversaries at bay and edge in front then they can pull off a massive upset.

PREDICTION: Celtic 3, Motherwell 1.

Chris Jack

KEY MAN FOR CELTIC: Scott Brown. Celtic skipper is the heartbeat of the side and has enjoyed a terrific campaign.

KEY MAN FOR MOTHERWELL: Curtis Main. Chances will be hard to come by for Motherwell and the striker must make the most of any that come his way.

KEY TO SUCCESS: The plan for Celtic will be fairly straightforward and if they do what they have done for most of the season they will win. Brendan Rodgers’ side can turn on the style on the big occasion and they should prove too good for Motherwell if anywhere near their best.

If the Steelmen are to have a chance, they must stop Celtic getting into their rhythm with a high-tempo, perhaps physical, approach. It will take a near perfect performance in every area of the park and while Celtic can rely on individual moments of magic, the key to Motherwell’s chances is in their collective.

PREDICTION: Celtic 2-1 Motherwell

Graeme McGarry

KEY MAN FOR CELTIC: Scott Brown. So much will depend on Motherwell – and Allan Campbell in particular - being able to stem the Celtic captain’s influence on the game.

KEY MAN FOR MOTHERWELL: Curtis Main. The striker was devastating against Aberdeen in the semi-final, and Motherwell will need another massive performance from him.

KEY TO SUCCESS: For Celtic, they have to stand up to the physical challenge presented by Motherwell and retain faith in their passing game. They must also raise their levels considerably from the past two league games, which they almost certainly will do, and if they play at their best then they will almost certainly prevail.

As for Motherwell, they will need to be superbly organised, disciplined, and ruthlessly clinical when chances do come their way. They will have to be patient as Celtic will have lots of the ball, but you fancy that Ryan Bowman and Main could ruffle the feathers of the Celtic defence when Motherwell do get the chance to attack.

PREDICTION: Celtic 2 Motherwell 1

Scott Mullen

KEY MAN FOR CELTIC: Tom Rogic. The man who has just signed a new five-year deal was the match winner in last year’s Scottish Cup final. Why not again here?

KEY MAN FOR MOTHERWELL: Allan Campbell. The combative youngster is a wee terrier, and will need to be at his whirlwind best.

KEY TO SUCCESS: Celtic bringing their A Game. If they manage that, then they are simply too much for any team in the league to handle. Defensively the likes of Boyata have to be robust.

For Motherwell, stop their opponents getting into an early rythym with Campbell key, try get to half time without conceding and get the first goal. Simple. Motherwell have recorded a club record 20 clean sheets. That resolute backline must hold firm.

PREDICTION: Celtic 0-1 Motherwell
