LINESMAN Douglas Ross was left red-faced during Saturday's Scottish Cup final after a stray ball knocked him to the Hampden Park turf.

Ross, who is the Scottish Conservative MP for Moray, was running the line during the clash between Celtic and Motherwell. 

When a ball came his way during the second half of a 2-0 win for the Hoops, Ross got his feet in a tangle and fell flat on his face, much to the amusement of the spectators in the stands.

The victory for Brendan Rodgers' side clinched an unprecedented double Treble for the Parkhead side after their previous triumphs in the Betfred Cup and Ladbrokes Premiership.
