KEVIN MOON and Stevie May share a house in Perth.

Today's William Hill Cup Final pits housemate against housemate, Raith Rovers playmaker against St Johnstone star striker and only one can prevail.

Naturally, this fixture has long dominated discussions on the Moon-May settee, but the pair will put their friendship aside as both sides bid to reach the last four.

Moon admitted yesterday that he just hopes his lodger shows the same lack of energy levels on the pitch as he does around the house.

"Stevie and I have always been close," he revealed. "He has been staying with me for a while now. Last year he was living with Paddy Cregg and Rowan Vine but he was a stray cat that I got landed with. I'm still not sure if it was good to get him as a lodger. He is just so lazy around the house. I don't think he knows where the hoover is. His housework skills are definitely not in the same league as his football ones.

"Hopefully, he is just as lazy during the game and then we might have a chance. I like to think I have been a good influence on Stevie. I look after him and keep an eye on what he eats. We don't cook for each other but in fairness he does look after himself away from the ground.

"Maybe I should have been doing chicken for Stevie and undercooking it because he is a huge threat to us."

May hit back. "Mooner will say I'm messy and lazy but that's all lies," the striker insisted. "He likes to put the boot in and tell people stories, but that's all they are.

"There has been a bit of banter [about the draw]. Mooner is confident they can beat us but is still saying we're the favourites and the pressure is all on us."
