QUEEN'S PARK have been told by the Scottish Football Association that they are to lose their Elite Youth status.

As Andrew Robertson, who left Hampden last summer for Dundee United, was joining Hull City on Tuesday, Queen's were being told they no longer merited a place at the top level of domestic youth football.

The SFA have made the decision because the League 2 side cannot provide a pathway to full-time football, despite launching the careers of Robertson and a host of other senior players in recent seasons. It is a position that is unlikely to change as Queen's stick steadfastly to their amateur roots by not paying players.
