FORMER Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc admits he is hoping to line up against Scotland next month following a loan switch to Bournemouth.

The 34-year-old lost his place at Southampton following Fraser Forster's £10 million summer switch from Parkhead and national team manager Adam Nawalka opted for Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny in the Euro 2016 qualifying win over Gibraltar earlier this month.

But Boruc is planning to force his way back into Nawalka's plans for October's Group D games with Germany and Scotland.

He said: "I'm an ambitious guy and that's the reason I'm here. I'm not the type of guy who will sit on the bench.

"I would like to be in the national team and that will not be the situation if I am not playing."
