Bowyer backs Hanley to captain Scotland

Grant Hanley was tipped as a future Scotland captain after being named as Blackburn Rovers' new skipper.

The 22-year-old central defender replaces Scott Dann who has moved to Crystal Palace.

Rovers manager Gary Bowyer said: "I've seen Grant do the job at youth and reserve level - he's captain material.

"People have spoken about him being national captain for Scotland one day and I honestly believe he'll do that too."
