THOMAS Buffel has urged the independent panel chaired by Lord Nimmo Smith not to punish Rangers' players and fans by stripping the club of titles.
The Belgian, who joined the Ibrox club from Feyenoord in January 2005 for £2.3 million, was part of the squad that won the SPL championship in 2004-05.
He was named by the BBC as having received £1.2m from the club's use of Employee Benefit Trusts (EBTs) prior to his departure in 2008. The Law Lord will announce his findings on the club's alleged improper use of such trusts next month.
