Hibernian manager Terry Butcher admits he is struggling to find the right players to come into Easter Road but is determined to add new faces this month.

Butcher and chief scout Steve Marsella have so far drawn a blank as they search for suitable players who are available during the January transfer window.

Butcher told Hibernian TV: "Steve and I have been up and down the country looking at players - crossing some off the list and adding one or two to it.

"But it is really hard because the players who are available are normally very young and inexperienced. They've got some good attributes and in a year or two will become very good players.

"But we want what's right for Hibernian Football Club. That means quality, and players who may become available in the next couple of weeks aren't available yet.

"It's hard, but we'll keep on trying and I'm sure that one or two will come up before the end of January."
