'Buzzing' MacDonald ready to enjoy Anfield experience

NOTHING will divert Jamie MacDonald's focus from one of the biggest occasions of his football career when the Hearts goalkeeper and his team-mates attempt to overcome Liverpool in the second leg of their Europa League play-off on Thursday night at Anfield.

A gruelling goalless draw at Aberdeen on Sunday and the demands of a newborn baby have not curbed his enthusiasm for the task ahead. "I have been a little bit tired with a couple of nights at home with the new baby but it is great and I have been buzzing all week," he said. "It has been the best week of my life and such a happy time, so that sort of makes up for the lack of sleep."
