On the occasion of the manager's 100th match in charge, the Parkhead side won their 14th successive league match and their 17th in a row in all domestic competitions.

It was a scrappy performance, nowhere near as thrilling or as emphatic as their display at Tynecastle just three days earlier, but the victory, courtesy of Joe Ledley's first-half strike, maintains Celtic's four-point lead over Rangers at the top of the table. There are now just 12 league games of the season remaining as Celtic edge ever closer to a first championship success in four years. It wasn't all good news for them, however. They played the last 30 minutes of the match with 10 men after Daniel Majstorovic was sent off for bringing down Johnny Hayes on the edge of the Celtic penalty box.
