CELTIC have been named the 34th most valuable football brand in a report into the global marketability of the game's biggest clubs.

The report, published by consultancy firm Brand Finance, puts the Parkhead club at a brand value of £79m, up 43% on last year's figures.

Barclays Premier League clubs dominate the rankings with Manchester United at the top of the listed with a worth of more than £1bn.

Despite finding themselves above Italian giants AS Roma, second in Serie A for the season just ended, Celtic are below 14 English clubs including Sunderland, Stoke City and Swansea City, as a consequence of the new £5.1bn Sky TV deal enjoyed by Premier League clubs.

Meanwhile, Veton Berisha says he is flattered to be linked with a move to the Scottish champions.

The 21-year-old Viking Stavanger striker's contract is due to expire and the highly-rated youngster - who has netted seven goals in 11 games so far this season - will carefully consider his next step.

He said: "I don't know anything about the Celtic interest, but it is of course very flattering. If the right offer comes along from an overseas club then I would consider it. But it all depends on which club is making the offer."
