Although acquiring another attacker is a priority for the Celtic manager – who is edging closer to making an approach for Rosenborg midfielder Markus Henrikssen – he values the contribution made by the Irishman since he moved to the club two years ago. Despite an impressive record – Stokes scored 21 goals last season – the striker has never managed to establish himself as a first-choice starter.
