PAUL Lambert says playing for Celtic has given him the tough skin he needs to ride out the storm at Aston Villa.

Lambert, whose relegation-threatened side face Swansea City today, knows his job could be on the line if owner Randy Lerner sells the club this summer. But life at Celtic Park has hardened him to deal with anything.

"When you've got 60,000 shouting at you or you stay in a city when half the city likes you and half the city never likes you it can be a little bit difficult. That's the reality of Glasgow. When I played for Borussia Dortmund there was major pressure to perform but I thrived on it. I loved the pressure of people being critical of you. It's no problem, none. Pressure's a good thing to have on your shoulders. People sometimes can crack and buckle under it. I certainly don't intend to do that."
