Leonardo Fasan, the young Celtic goalkeeper, is dreaming of making his debut for the club against Inter Milan in the San Siro
Fasan has been on the bench several times for the Scottish champions, but the 20-year-old has yet to play for Celtic.
But he would love to make an unlikely Hoops bow in the San Siro.
He said: "I was hoping we would get drawn against an Italian team and I am glad it was Inter because I have never been to the San Siro and the atmosphere will be fantastic.
"A debut for Celtic against Inter in the San Siro would be extraordinary.
"Inter are a great team and they have an excellent goalkeeper in Samir Handanovic.
"I watched him play at Udinese before I came to Scotland so maybe I will ask for his jersey after the game.
"I'm enjoying myself at Celtic and the team is working hard to try and achieve our goals for the season."
Inter legend Sandro Mazzola has warned Roberto Mancini's side not to make the same mistake the club did in 1967 and underestimate Celtic.
One-club icon Mazzola is one of Inter's greatest ever players having won four Serie A titles, two European Cups and a European Championship with Italy.
But he is still frustrated at losing the European Cup Final 47 years ago to the Lisbon Lions, after he netted the opening goal for Inter.
And, with the two sides preparing for a rematch in a Europa League showdown in February, Mazzola has warned Inter that Celtic will be tough.
Mazzola said: "Our manager Helenio Herrera was the only person who had watched Celtic and he came back and told us we would win the game easily.
"After all, we had beaten Real Madrid and Benfica in Finals in the previous few years.
"And that belief was only strengthened after I scored a penalty early on. We thought we would win by three or four goals.
"But they reacted brilliantly and the speed of their forwards provided constant headaches for our defenders.
"In short, we undervalued Celtic."
And Mazzola admitted he thought Celtic were a joke team after watching their final training session before the final.
He said: "On the eve of the match, we stopped to watch them train. And do you know what they did? They played a practice match against journalists, with hundreds of fans on the side of the pitch who were drinking and laughing.
"It was like a village festival! But Celtic got the last laugh because they became champions.
"So my warning to Inter today is clear, do not repeat our mistake of underestimating Celtic."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
