Chairman hopes to tie Adams to County on longer contract

ROY MacGREGOR, the Ross County chairman, has confirmed he is keen to offer Derek Adams a contract extension.

The 37-year-old is midway through the three-year deal he signed when he returned to Victoria Park for a second spell in charge in May 2011.

Adams led the Dingwall side to promotion to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League for the first time this year and took them on a 40-match unbeaten league. run. MacGregor said: "Derek is halfway through the second year of his deal and we would like to extend it, although he has 18 months remaining and I am relaxed about the situation."
