ASTON VILLA have signed Tom Cleverley on a season-long loan, the club confirmed.
Villa had to wait until the Barclays Premier League confirmed the paperwork had been completed in time.
Villa had initially pulled the plug on a permanent deal for Cleverley earlier on transfer deadline day with his wage demands pricing him out of a move. "I have got to get back playing and hopefully as a by-product of that I can get back in the England team," Cleverly said.
"The thing I am concentrating on though is trying to come in and hit the ground running so I can help Aston Villa. I'm looking forward to getting back to what I know I can do."
