Bobby Collins, the former Scotland midfielder, died last night at the age of 82.
Collins - who earned 31 caps for his country - started his career with Celtic, where he scored 116 goals before moving to Everton in 1958.
That move required a club-record fee of £23,500 and the midfielder would later make his way to Leeds United for a similar fee. It was there that he was named the English Football Writers' player of the year in 1965, as Leeds finished runners-up in both the league and FA Cup.
His former clubs expressed sadness at news of his death and a Celtic statement described him as a "Celtic legend and one of Scotland's all-time great players."
