Clyde to vote 'no' unless resolution 'loopholes' are closed

THE Scottish Football League said last night they were comfortable with the wording of the resolutions which will be voted on this Friday, despite a statement from Clyde which claimed they were ambiguous and liable to misinterpretation.

The Cumbernauld side's board met on Monday night to consider the newco Rangers situation, and arrived at the conclusion that as the first of the three resolutions for Friday's meeting only talked about admitting Rangers as an associate member and permitting them to play in "the league" rather than "the third division" they would have to vote against as they did not trust a process managed in part by the SPL and SFA to keep from parachuting Rangers into the first division without the explicit consent of the clubs.
