DANNY WILSON is expected to finalise his return to Rangers in the morning.

The central defender, who came through the ranks at Ibrox before making a £2m move to Liverpool, had a medical at Murray Park this evening and should tie up the formalities on a three-year deal early tomorrow before being unveiled at a media conference.

Celtic and Olympiakos had also been credited with an interest in signing the 23 year-old who left Hearts at the end of last season after activating a release clause in his contract.

Wilson, who also had spells on loan at Blackpool and Bristol City, would become new Rangers manager Mark Warburton's first signing, with Rob Kiernan and John Eustace also wanted by the former Brentford boss.
