Pars United will meet creditors of Dunfermline Athletic on July 30 to present their offer of a Company Voluntary Arrangement.

The fans' group has been named as the preferred bidders for the Fife club – and East End Park Ltd, which owns the ground – by administrators and will attempt to convince creditors to accept a pence-in-the-pound deal which will allow the club to survive.

It is understood that Lloyd's Banking Group, which possess over 75% of the debt owed by EEP Ltd – will accept the CVA but others can still vote to reject it. Should the offer be turned down then Dunfermline will be liquidated.

"We are hopeful the CVA will pass," said Bob Garmory, a figurehead of Pars United. "However you also have to acknowledge that creditors will be asked to write of a significant amount of money. It would not be right to celebrate that."
